Book Design • Interior Layout • Publishing
Piercing the Veil is a book design and publishing project created in collaboration with author Sheila Benabides.
I helped transform the completed manuscript into a polished, publication-ready paperback, handling the design and production process from the cover through the final interior pages.
The Project
The goal was to create a professional book that visually supported the manuscript's message while providing readers with a clean, comfortable reading experience.
The cover and interior were developed together to create a consistent visual style throughout the book.
What I Worked On
- Book cover design
- Interior page layout
- Typography and text styling
- Chapter and section formatting
- Print-ready file preparation
- Publishing setup and support
Design Approach
For the interior, I focused on readability, clean typography, consistent spacing, and a page structure that worked naturally in print.
The cover was designed to complement the book's tone and subject while creating a strong first impression.
Together, the cover and interior created a cohesive finished product that felt intentional from beginning to end.
The Final Result
The finished manuscript was transformed into a professionally designed paperback prepared for publication and made available to readers through Amazon.
This project brought together graphic design, editorial layout, print preparation, and publishing support to take the book from manuscript to finished publication.
